What an SEO fix actually does
There are sixteen things we check on a website. Every one of them is something a person wrote, or forgot to write, in the code of your pages.
None of it is a trick. This page goes through all sixteen in plain words. Check your own site first, then read on and you will know exactly what your score is made of.
No email, no signup. Your score in a few seconds, with a plain fix for anything it finds.
The sixteen things, one at a time
Grouped by the question each one answers. Read the short line on any of them, and tap it if you want the whole story.
Can Google see your website at all?
Four things decide whether you are even in the running. If one of these is wrong, nothing else on this page can help you.
What does Google show people about you?
When you turn up in Google, people see three things. All three are written on your own website. That means all three are yours to choose, and almost nobody chooses them.
Does it work on a phone, and is it safe?
Google decides your position by looking at the phone version of your site, not the desktop one. Two checks here, and neither is optional.
Does Google know you are a local business?
Most website checkers skip this part. For a business that serves one city, it is the part that brings in the phone calls.
Is there enough on the page?
Google will not recommend a page that barely says anything. These three are about having something to say.
What shows up when somebody shares your link?
Every link sent in a message or an email pulls up a preview card. Your website decides what that card says.
Here is one we did this week
We ran our own website through this check before writing the page. It came back at 83. Three photos had no words behind them, our business details were missing from the code, and the page title was four letters too long. All ours. All exactly the things above.
Fixed the same day. That is the whole point of this half of the job.
Your score is not your position in Google
These are two different jobs, and they run on two different clocks. Everything else on this page makes more sense once that is clear.
Sixteen things, all in your own pages, all of them ours to fix. It moves the day we change them and it stays fixed. This is the building work.
Where you land depends on everyone else chasing the same words, and on how long you have been at it. It takes months, and nobody honest will promise you a spot.
You need both. Fixing the sixteen is what gets you into the race. A site missing half of them is not losing to its competitors, it never entered.
What a position is worth
These are counted numbers, not our opinion. Out of every hundred people who search, this is roughly how many click each result.

of all clicks go to the top three. Everybody else shares what is left over.
of people ever reach page two. If you are not on page one, you are not really findable.

Say two hundred people a month in your city search for what you do. At the bottom of page one, about three of them land on you. In the top three, about twenty do.
So take seventeen extra people a month who were already looking for exactly what you sell. Work out how many of those you would normally win, and what one job is worth to you. That number is what this is about. For most trades and clinics it covers the cost several times over. If it does not, we will tell you.
What the first year looks like
We would rather tell you this now than leave you wondering in month two. It is slow at first and then it builds, and knowing the shape of it is what stops people quitting just before it works.
All sixteen are put right and your score moves that week. From now on Google is reading a site that is built properly instead of one it has to guess at.
Your pages get found and begin appearing for real searches, usually a long way down. Hardly anyone clicks yet. That is normal, and it is the stage where people give up too early.
Positions improve as pages settle in. Some searches reach the second page. The first phone calls that came from Google usually land somewhere in here.
The searches you were built for reach the first page, and the visitors become steady rather than occasional. Unlike advertising, it does not stop the month you stop paying.
What the ongoing work actually is
"Ongoing SEO" is a vague phrase and it deserves to be treated with suspicion. So here is all of it, and you can hold us to it.
What you call your service and what people search for are rarely the same thing. We go through the real searches for your trade in your city, with the numbers next to them, and pick the ones worth chasing.
One page for each thing you want to be found for. Most websites have a single services page trying to win twenty different searches, which is why it wins none.
For a local business the map result matters more than the website. Categories, hours, photos, posts and reviews, kept up to date rather than set up once and forgotten.
Your name, address and phone appearing the same way everywhere Google looks. Details that do not match are a common and completely invisible reason for not showing up.
Websites drift. Pages get added without titles, photos get uploaded without words, things quietly break. We run the sixteen checks again so your score stays where we put it.
A short note each month in plain English. What moved, what did not, what is next. If a month was quiet, we say so.
What we will not do is promise you a position. Nobody can, because nobody owns Google, and an agency that promises it is either guessing or about to do something that gets you punished for it.
